Uncle David's Wedding

My sister Amy, made the cake for my Uncle David's wedding.
I tried to take the credit but guilt set in.
Pretty amazing huh?!?

This is Becky...The beautiful bride!

Here we have the bride and groom...Becky and Dave.
It was so fun to see my uncle. I haven't seen him forever.
Kennedy and I were the only ones able to attend but it was a
fun evening. My Mom and Dad had things set up in their backyard...
They made the evening memorable for all.
Welcome to the family Becky!!!

MVP of the Day

Hip...Hip...Hooray...for Kennedy today! Kennedy was
chosen as one of the MVP students for the month of September.
Her teacher and other teachers nominated her for being
a great example and super student!
She got her picture taken with the principal. Her picture will
also be in the newspaper!
Way to go Kenners!!! We're proud of you!!!

Bethany's Driving.....Yikes!

Yes... The time has come for Bethany to begin driving.
We decided to go on a Sunday drive around the Pond. I got the opportunity to sit up front while Jared was the back seat driver. Bethany doesn't have a speed problem...Yet, but we were driving and suddenly we saw the sign below:

Jared rather calmly said, "Dip, Slow down..."
After he repeated it for the 4th time and the front of the Subaru went into the dip, Bethany realized he was talking to her. He asked her if she saw the sign and she replied,"I'm watching the road Dad, how was I supposed to see that!" Then she said ,"And all this time I thought you were calling me the Dip--slow down." What fun moments are ahead of us!!!

Yes, the car is still in one piece!

Dads & Donuts

Today was quite an exciting day for Kennedy.
She has been counting down the days for today
because Dad got to go to school with her at
8:00 am--just a side note, Kennedy usually
doesn't rise until much later!
Dad woke up Kennedy, helped her get dressed,
did her hair, made sure teeth were brushed and
they were ready to go out the door before 8:00am.
I am so impressed. Maybe if we had this everyday,
okay--every week I could get used to this!!!

Kennedy thought she might find a donut this big!
She loves donuts...But more than anything she loves
being with her Dad. They got to school, had donuts,
and read three books. To make things even more exciting,
she got to ride in the "Sexy Black Hot Rod"
(aka--the Black Pontiac Solstice that has occassionally
been refered to as Jared's early mid life crisis--
I've been informed that it has nothing to do with that!) Anyway...
When it was time for Dad to go to work Kennedy was ready
to go with him. If he hadn't convinced her that she had to
go to school because it was picture day, she probably would
be his personal secretary for the day! What a fun morning
for everyone!!! Thanks Dad!

Fall Festival

We had the Fall Festival at the school this week.
Kennedy had a super time playing with Maddie on the slide.

Kenner's loves her "adopted" little sis, Ellia!

Kenners Ellia, & Katie had a blast on the train...
Choo, Choo!

Kennedy has a great time with friends of all ages!

School Spirit

I've got spirit, yes, I do...
I've got spirit, how 'bout you!

Yes, it was clash day...
Need I say more!

Doesn't she look like a
true athlete?!?

She might be working
too hard on this one!

Now, there's our true performer!!!

Teeter-Totter Safety 101

Yes, Bethany and Erica are reverting back to their
younger days. Perhaps they should have reviewed
the basics...

I suppose it's a little late to remind them to communicate...
I looked out the kitchen window just in time to
catch this great photo opportunity. I heard screaming and
then someone shouting, "I thought you were going to tell me
before you let go!" Some much for the basics...

They seem to be alive...They're still smiling!
I'm sure they've learned their lesson...

Or have they?!? This toy of Kennedy's has sure
been a big hit for teenagers when they come to hangout.
I guess the child in us never goes away!
Maybe Jared and I should try it out! What do you think?!?
