Pumpkins and Apples...

We invited VT's over for pumpkin painting and carameled apples. We, or should I say "I" , enjoy painting pumpkins better than carving...I hate the gunk in the inside! The kids painted some great faces!

I pretended to be the caramel apple specialist...
Not to bad for the first time trying the recipe!

I had great helpers and observers!
Jared is conveniently missing during the pictures!

Don is supervising...
Can you tell!

Walker seems to be getting more use out of the glasses than
Taylor...Yes, Taylor that's a hint!

The final outcome...What great faces!!! Too cute for words...

A Day Of Play...

Saturday we decided to hang out on the farm with
VT's, Allie & Family and Rick's Family.
Bethany and Jake are in deep thought...

Allie and Jared are showing off their shooting skills!

Taylor was so patient to walk every kid around on the horse.
Way to go Tay...Kennedy enjoyed the ride!

I thought I'd "give it a shot!" Needless to say,
everyone wondered what I was shooting at!
I think Allie's been practicing before!!!

Jake chillin' with the girls...He does enjoy girls!

A Witch's Day Out...

We took a little ride on our brooms to Gardner Village last week. Wow... the witches were out everywhere!!! There was barely standing room. We decided next year we better come in better dress! Check out these witches!

Cute little girlies!!!

This was the pretty witch... Lucinda. Andy isn't sure what to think!

Yes...We witches are a little underdressed!

This witch had the girls dancing around. Her name was Matilda... She was a Hip-Witch! We had a great time with Marcie and her kids!

A fetish...

Yes, This is Jake...17 years old, Senior in High School,

loves longboarding, 4-wheeling, girls, and I must confess SOCKS....

This is Jake's secret stash...

I bet there's at least 100 socks in here!
I honestly thought the washer ate all of my socks because I would wash them, dry them and go to find them and they had disappeared. I have occasionally got the courage to enter the unknown territory of his bedroom, plugging my nose and looked for my socks...They were missing! I have even used a Sharpie marker and written MOM on the bottoms. I have always wondered why Jake doesn't take off his shoes...I thought it was to save us all from the smell, now I know he's hiding the socks. Jared, the girls and I must figure something out...Maybe hot pink socks...Any suggestions?!?

Finally...

The day has finally come...Now you see it...

Now you don't....

What a beautiful smile Bethany!!!

We Did It!

Okay, so last week at FHE we challenged our families
(Us & The Mc's) to learn the names of the Apostles.
We had a week to practice...It's amazing what a
little competition will do! We quizzed before breakfast,
at dinner, before bed, in the car, and at church.
Pride and prizes were on the line! Finally the challenge came...
I must admit, I felt a little nervous. Everyone came through
with flying colors...Yes, from age 5 on up...It was awesome.
Thanks M & M for the fun! Way to go kids!!!

Jared was the winner and Marte next.
It looks like we were worn out!!!

The kids showed their true faces...

Weekend Getaway...

Any guesses where this is ?!?

Okay, I'm sure this picture will give it away...
Jared spoiled me this weekend and took me to
Hotel Park City for our anniversary. I think this is
one of my new favorite places to getaway.
We went to lunch, then to the outlets,
matinee movie and dinner at Ruth's Chris---what a meal!!!
It snowed both days and the leaves had turned to various colors.
The scenery was fantastic!
My kids were great to hang out together and
watch out for each other. Kennedy was a great babysitter!
It's a rough job taking care of teenagers!
Thanks Jared for a great weekend!

Happy Anniversary!!!

Jared and I celebrated our 10 year Anniversary today...
Ten years of bliss...okay with a few roadblocks.
We had a great day...Lunch at PF Changs, Hangin'
out at Costco, and then ..well...
We bought The Great Wall Of China Cake
for dessert to have this evening. The kids took little plates,
champagne glasses, candles, and the dessert and set it
up in the motorhome for us to go out and enjoy a romantic treat!
Hosted by the marvelous chef, our daughter Taylor
and her assistant Kennedy! Jared and Jake got a laugh out of it
but my girls and I thought it was a pretty clever idea!
Jake did help though, he found us a lighter and a candle!
It just doesn't get any better than this!
Oh by the way thanks Taylor for blogging today! :)
