Lake Powell 2009

Marte...Our IDOL...catchin' some air!

1-2-3...Let's jump!!!

Hangin'out at Rainbow Bridge...

This was one of the many "On-board Entertainments" With a little guidance from Nacho Libre...Way to go "Boys"!

Kenners got up kneeboarding...Wahoo!!!

What a guy!

Yes, I had to prove that I could wakeboard...Even if it was for a short time! It seemed like forever!

Kennedy thought she would try out skiing and she got up on the first try!!! Way to go Kenners!

Let's see who can make the funniest faces...I wonder!

Bethany and Jake entertained each other & all of us! Jake told Bethany she was a "Boy's girl" She wasn't sure what to think...Later she was informed that it meant she was cool!

Thanks M&M for inviting us!

Swim Lessons...

Our little fish thinks diving is pretty cool if only the legs would cooperate!

Girls @ EFY...

The day finally came...They couldn't wait to be dropped off! They all passed the swine flu check...barely...and off to new adventures!

This is what I woke up to Saturday morning when they walked in the door! Drop everything off and crash...They were out! They had a blast! Bethany and Kinsey made a grand appearance everywhere they went. Tay and Cosy are ready to go again! I really missed them and Kennedy thought they would never return:)

Ashley's Wedding

Just a lil' moment between Father & Daughter...Butterfly Kisses...Wow,that song always tugs @ the heart strings! Jared leaned over and said,"It won't be too long before one of our girls decides to do this...yikes...I'm NOT ready for that!

My first niece, Ashley got married in June...Boy do I feel old! It was just what she had hoped for. The weather cooperated and she's now happily married! It was a fun time to see family and friends! Only in Idaho would you have an outdoor wedding with the background music being a farmer out plowing his fields!

Family Reunion...

At the beginning of the summer we had a family reunion up at Sundance with the Lunquist family. We ate TONS, played TONS,laughed TONS and slept very little. It was a good reunion...I think we'll try it again in a year or two :)

Family Night KickBall...

Monday night for Family Night we decided to play Kickball with the Hales family...to make things a little competitive Jared said whoever loses buys Coldstone for the other family...Game on! We went to the school fields and started playing and suddenly the sprinklers turned on...We thought about moving to another field but no...We added excitement to our game...Slipping ,sliding, soaking wet...We had a blast! The game ended 15 all!!! We were drowned rats as we headed to Coldstone for treats...The kids are still talking about it! What a great night!

The only thing that would have made the night is me remembering my camera!!! I asked everyone to reenact but noone would...

Gone-A-Float...

Okay...My first week in YW as the new Mia Maid Advisor and our Tuesday activity is floating down the Prove River...I'm adventurous so I found inner tubes @ Big O for a screamin' deal I might add...and off we went! I decided to ride at the end to make sure everyone was okay. Taylor's last words were,"Hurry Mom, I don't want you to be alone"...little did she know...I jumped on my tube and almost made it to the first bend maybe 100 yards when my tube caught on a rock or tree branch and I heard the dreaded hissing sound of the tube deflating! I quickly pushed to the side and realized I was in trouble...Everyone gone...the truck locked and I couldn't swim upstream...nor could I climb over the huge rocks on the side to get out! What's a girl to do????I waited as a few floaters went by and told them to tell my group I popped my tube and would hopefully be down soon! I saw a couple that was fixing their tube upstream and after 20 min or so, they came down and as they were going by asked I needed help...I tried to climb in with them but they were going too fast so they told me to climb out and climb to the next bend...I felt like I was on "Survivor" using my tube to push through the stinging neddle and other stuff...I finally made it to them and they rescued me!!!They were a couple from Orem on "Date Night"... Nothing like a third person :) Luckily, we chatted and I made it to the end. I was glad to see all the girls made it okay! I wonder what the activity will be next week...Rappelling???
